In Nepal, the UCPN (maoist) has decided to give more time to the Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal to reshuffle his cabinet. The Standing Committee of the Maoist which met in Kathmandu this morning said that the party has decided to also hold talks with it’s CPN-UML and find a way out of the stalemate. Party Spokesman Dinanath Sharma said the decision of the party to reshuffle it’s ministerial team is an internal matter and does not affect the five point deal that was reached between the major political parties that led to the extension of the Constituent Assembly. Earlier, it was reported that the maoist had given a deadline to the Prime Minister and threatened to pull out of the government if the new ministers are not sworn in. The Standing Committee of the CPN-UML which heads the government had yesterday said it was not the time to reshuffle the ministry and would go against the spirit of the five point deal. The main Opposition, Nepali Congress, meanwhile has not let the assembly function in the last two days asking for the resignation of the Prime Minister. The Maoist had decide to reshuffle its’ Ministerial team to the government and had given the list to the Prime Minister on Monday.
