Maoists disrupt train services in several bandh affected states

<br/>As the 48-hour bandh called by the Maoists entered the 2nd day today, the ultras stepped up violence leading to disruption of rail services in several states. <br/><br/> In Orissa the maoists triggered two blasts between Birsa and Bongomunda stations in Sundergarh district in the wee hours today, disrupting train services on the Mumbai-Howrah route. Our correspondent reports that a goods train derailed after the two successive blasts.<br/><br/> In Jharkhand, Naxalite blew up railway tracks in two places in the important CIC (Coal Indian Coal) section between Barkana-Barwadih railway sections under Dhanbad railway division. The railway tracks between Nindrahalt and Mcluskiganj was blown up late night while another railway track between Chhitadhar and Hehegarha was blown up this morning by triggering a bomb. There is no report of casualty. However, train services between in this line have been disrupted.<br/><br/> Meanwhile, in Bihar, rail traffic on Gaya- Mughalsarai rail section of East – Central Railway which was blown by the Maoists has been partially restored. Down rail track of this section has been repaired Efforts are also on to restore rail traffic on UP line. Our Patna correspondent reports, the passengers of Rajdhani Express trains have been sent to their destination by a special train from the site of accident. <br/><br/> In Chattisgarh, the impact of the bandh by Maoists is being felt in the interior areas of the Naxal-affected districts of the State. The vehicular traffic in the remote areas of the state has been affected; the train services between Bailadila and Visakhapatnam have been put on hold as a security measure. Naxalites killed one anti-Maoist Salwajudum activist in a village under Bhairamgarh police station area of the Bijapur district of the state.
