Maoists blow up railway track in Jharkhand

In Jharkhand, Maoists have blown railway track of Delhi- Howrah main route under Dhanbad railway Division. <br/><br/>The explosion occurred around 12:40 in the night yesterday at a point in between Chichaki and Karmabaand railway stations. <br/><br/>Dhanbad DRM Manoj Kumar Akhouri has said that the route has been disturbed and the trains are being halted at different Stations. <br/><br/>Track repair works is being done. The major trains affected due to this incident are Kalka Express, Hatia Patna express, Howrah Dehradun Express, Kolkata Rajdhani Express, Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express, Ranchi Rajdhani Express. <br/><br/>In addition to this, running of various goods trains are also affected. Maoists also torched a Bolero vehicle at Dhawantad on Doongri Road under Giridih district.

Maoists blow up railway track in Jharkhand

In Jharkhand, suspected naxals blew up railway tracks at Poisaita in Chakradharpur rail division early today. Train services on Howrah-Mumbai route were affected due to the blast Poisaita in Chakradharpur division of South Eastern Railway. Several long distance trains, including Howrah-Bilaspur-New Delhi Rajdhani Express, were detained at several stations due to the rail track damage.Meanwhile, the 24-hour Maoist-sponsored bandh evoked mixed response in Jharkhand with its impact restricted to some rural pockets, besides affecting mainly the long distance vehiclular traffic across the state. The bandh is peaceful so far. The bandh was called to protest arrest of PCPA leader Chhatradhar Mahato from Birkar village under Lalgarh police station area in West Bengal.
