Maoists bandh hits general pubic life in Jharkhand

A two-day bandh announced by the Maoists since Tuesday in Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Orissa and Chhattisgarh to protest the killing of their leader Sidhu Soren by the security forces has affected the general pubic life in Jharkhand. Several long distance trains have been diverted. Some long-route buses have been cancelled in view of the shutdown. On Tuesday, the naxals blew up a bridge on the Giridih- Ranchi highway under Peertand police station in Giridih district- in which a jeep carrying three people was completely blown up along with the bridge. All the three killed in the explosion. Police has now reached the spot.
