West Bengal Buddhadev Bhattacharjee had said that, the Maoist problem in the State has been brought under control to a large extent. He was speaking at the Police investiture ceremony at the Science City Auditorium in Kolkata today. Bhattacharjee said that although the Maoist grip over the jungle areas of the State has been brought under control, continuous operation are needed to uphold the rule of law. The Chief Minister said that, compensation to the Police officers and employment to one of the kins of dead police officers will be speeded up.Praising the Police forces in the State Bhattacharjee said that, the forces have to work in a difficult atmosphere. Hundred and forty policemen were today awarded medals for meritorious service.
