Maoist leader approaches Delhi High Court

Top Maoist leader Kobad Ghandy on Wednesday approached the Delhi High Court challenging trial court's order of allowing narco-analysis test on him. The trial court had on 31st of October, allowed the Delhi police to conduct narco test on 59-year-old Ghandy after the investigating agency contended that it had not been able to elicit all the information from him despite use of all scientific methods of interrogation. The trial court had passed the order after going through the medical report submitted by AIIMS, saying that Ghandy was medically fit to undergo the test. The police had on October 20 filed an application before the court to allow it to conduct a narco test on the Maoist leader. Mr Ghandy was arrested from the national capital in September this year.
