Maoist killed in Dantewada encounter

A Maoist was killed in an encounter with security personnel in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district. <br/><br/>Official sources said that a combined team of CRPF, Special Action Force and state police including SPOs, who were on patrolling duty last night, came under fire from Left-wing extremists. During the exchange of fire, the Naxals also set off a mine. <br/><br/>A body of a Naxal was found from the spot and drag marks were seen indicating that the Maoists had dragged away some dead or injured cadres. Sources said that security forces also recovered 300 metre long wire and batteries from the spot.
