Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh said that Maoism was one of the biggest challenges to democracy.<br/><br/>Addressing a high level meeting in Raipur, the state capital of Chhattisgarh, he said violence has no place in a democracy.<br/><br/>Mr. Singh said that the government seeks cooperation from the people for development and maintenance of law and order to end the menace.<br/><br/>He said the central government is committed to provide all possible help to states to deal with Maoist problem.<br/><br/>The Minister held a meeting with senior police and administration officials of the state government and paramilitary forces today during his visit to Raipur. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh also attended the meeting.<br/><br/>Issues related to education, health, infrastructure like roads and bridges, agriculture, employment as well as self-employment in Maoist-affected areas were discussed in the meeting.<br/><br/>The Minister also attended the convocation ceremony of Kushabhau Thakre Journalism and Mass Communication University during his visit to Raipur.
