Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan held an all party meeting this evening to review the damage caused in the fire in Mantralaya building in Mumbai. The opposition parties demanded that forensic experts from foreign countries be requested to assist in the probe.Crime Branch of Mumbai Police has formed four teams to investigate the fire incident. Five people had died and about 16 were injured in a fire that gutted four floors of Maharashtra’s secretariat, Mantralaya yesterday. Union Agriculture Minister and NCP Chief Sharad Pawar today visited the charred Mantralaya building. He also met Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan and several NCP members to take stock of the situation. Later, while speaking to the media, Mr. Pawar rebutted the demand for CM’s resignation saying there was no reason for Mr. Chavan to resign. He said that it not the time to bring any destabilization in the government rather it is time to start the rebuilding process.
