Manoj Sinha urges medical professionals to devote time in rural areas

Minister for Communications Manoj Sinha today exhorted the medical professionals to devote their time in rural areas to serve the poor and the needy. He said doctors should take pledge to work in rural areas for some years, before seeking posting in cities and towns. Mr Sinha was addressing the gathering after releasing the Commemorative Postage Stamp on Centenary Founder's Day of Lady Hardinge Medical College and Associated Hospitals in New Delhi.<br/><br/>He also informed that the old building of Medical College had already been declared as National Heritage monument in 2005. Speaking on the occasion, Minister of State for Health Anupriya Patel said as the Lady Hardinge college is growing in all dimensions, there is pressing need to add new additional infrastructure. She assured all the help from the government for restart of construction work at the earliest.
