Former world Billiards champion Manoj Kothari has been appointed chief national cuesports coach by the Sports Authority of India for a period of one year. Kothari, a mechanical engineer by profession was handed the job on the recommendation of the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India. He was conferred with the prestigious Dhyan Chand award in August 2005.
