Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar today asked the over 10 lakh-cadet strong National Cadet Corps NCC to join the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Speaking at a function in New Delhi, Mr Parrikar said if each cadet resolves to pick up one kg of non-biodegradable waste then the NCC can remove three million kg of waste. <br/><br/>He also congratulated the students for getting into Limca Book of Records for the largest yoga performance simultaneously at multiple venues by a single uniformed youth organization on the International Yoga Day. He congratulated the NCC for performance of yoga by over 9.5 lakh cadets on International Day of Yoga, conducted pan India. Editor Limca Book of Records Mrs Vijaya Ghosh presented the certificate to Lt Gen Aniruddha Chakravarty.
