Manohar Lal Khattar to be sworn in as Haryana CM on Oct 26

Manhohar Lal Khattar will be the new Chief Minister of Haryana and will swear in on 26 October.

AIR Correspondent reports that this decision was taken today after a meeting was held with newly elected BJP Legislative Party leaders in consultation with Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu and party Vice President Dinesh Sharma who were central observers appointed by BJP parliamentary board.

Later, the legislative party leaders and two observers called on the Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki and submitted their proposal to form the Government in Haryana.

Governor has invited newly elected BJP legislatives to form the Government and the oath taking ceremony will be held on 26 October at 11 a.m. at Tau Devi Lal Stadium at Panchkula.

Also, lone Bahujan Samaj Party MLA from Prithla assembly constituency and other three independent candidates from Samalkha, Pundri and Punhana extended their support to BJP. Now BJP will have strength of four more MLAs in addition to its 47.

Ending all speculations, all legislative party leaders gave a clear verdict and chose Manohar lal Khattar as their leader and Chief Minister of Haryana. Manhohar Lal Khattar is the first time MLA from Karnal assembly constituency and will be the first Bhartiya Janta Party’s Chief Minister of Haryana.

Mr Khattar has a long association with RSS and BJP and has extensively contributed in party’s success at many state elections.

After being elected as Chief Minister, he thanked his fellow party men for electing him and assured them of good and transparent governance in the State.

He emphasized on over all development and assured progress for all sections of the society.
