Manohar Lal Khattar to be next Chief Minister of Haryana

Ending all speculations on Chief Minister candidate of Haryana, BJP Legislative Party leaders in consultation with two central observers appointed by BJP parliamentary board on Tuesday choose Manohar Lal Khattar to be the next Chief Minister of the state.

Later, the legislative party leaders and two observers called upon the Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki and submitted their proposal to form the Government in Haryana. Governor has invited newly elected BJP legislatives to form the Government and the oath taking ceremony will be held on 26 October at 11 a.m. at Tau Devi Lal Stadium at Panchkula.

Manhohar Lal Khattar has a long association with RSS and BJP and was the front-runner for the post of Haryana chief minister. He contested elections for the first time and was elected from Karnal assembly constituency. Senior legislators like, party State President Ram Bilas Sharma, Rao Inderjit Singh, Birender Singh, Captain Abhimanyu Singh, Anil Vij, O P Dhankar were strong contenders of the post.

Speaking to the media persons, Union Minister of Urban Development and one of the central observer said that people of Haryana choose BJP as they wanted Centre and State should work in tandem for development and better governance.
