Manohar Lal Khattar has been elected as new Chief Minister of Haryana today.
AIR correspondent reports that a closed door Meeting was held at Chandigarh with two central observers and newly elected 47 MLAs.
After a discussion, which lasted almost an hour, the name of the Chief Minister was announced. BJP supporters gathered at the meeting venue welcomed the decision and celebrations were on.
Manohar Lal Khattar is a MLA from Karnal Assembly Seat.
The government formation process in Maharashtra to elect legislative party leader of BJP has been deferred for few more days . The meeting will now take place only after Diwali.
Earlier, the meeting was expected to take place today in the presence of BJP’s central observer Home Minister Rajnath Singh and party’s General Secretary J.P. Nadda.
However, state BJP sources informed that many MLAs have requested to postpone meeting till Diwali.
Home minister Rajnath Singh said in New Delhi this morning disclosed this.
