Senior Congress leader and former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has hit out at BJP over the economic situation in the country and Maharashtra. <br />''<br />''He attacked the BJP-led Maharashtra government over farmer suicides. He alleged that a lot of problems being faced by Maharashtra today are man-made. Dr Singh was interacting with business community leaders and media persons in Mumbai today. He said Mumbai in particular and Maharashtra, in general, have to face worse effects of the economic slowdown. The former Prime Minister alleged that model of governance on which BJP is seeking votes in the ongoing assembly polls in the state has failed. He has also alleged that the BJP government is obsessed with trying to put the blame on its opponents.<br />''  <br />
