The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Smt. Gursharan Kaur today greeted the President Pratibha Devisingh Patil on the occassion of Diwali at Rashtrapati Bhavan. On this occassion Dr. Singh briefed the President about his recent three nation tour of Japan, Malaysia and Vietnam and participation in India-ASEAN and East Asia summit. They also discussed about the forthcoming session of the parliament and coming visit of the US President Mr. Barack Obama to India.
