Manish Tewari rescues himself from Parliament's Standing Committee on Lokpal

Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari has rescued himself from Parliament's Standing Committee looking into the Lokpal issue. He said in New Delhi that he is in favour of a strong and effective Lokpal.Mr. Tewari said, he had seen speculation in the press with regard to his continuance as a member of the Standing Committee on Law and Justice. The next meeting of the Committee is scheduled to take place on September 7th.Meanwhile, Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid on Wednesday said that the change in numbers takes place every year and there is nothing new in it.AIR Correspondent reports that the present Parliamentary Committee is coming to an end and the new panel will be set up after receiving nominations from different political parties.
