The Manipur Cabinet has decided to hold talks with the agitating United Naga Council (UNC) on the 30th of this month. The talks will be held at Senapati District Headquarters. A group of state Ministers led by Information and Public Realtions Minister T N Haokip will represent the state government in the talks. Officials of the Union of Home Ministry will also attend the talks as facilitator.AIR correspondent reports the UNC has been pressing the Centre for initiating the next round of tripartite talks with the Centre and the state government. They reiterated their demand for an alternativearrangement of administration for the Nagas in Manipur.
