<span style="color: #222222;">The Second COVID-19 patient of Manipur has been tested negative of the virus two times consecutively and the State is now free from the disease.<br />'' <br />'' It may be mentioned that Manipur has recorded two positive cases of COVID-19 so far and the first patient has already been cured and discharged from the hospital on the 12th of this month. The only remaining patient was tested negative yesterday and a second test done today has also confirmed negative of virus.<br />'' <br />'' Talking to AIR News, Prof. Ch. Arunkumar, Medical Superintendent of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Imphal said, after finding him negative yesterday, the second test has been done within 24 hours and VRD Laboratory has found his sample negative again. As per protocol, he has been found negative of virus two times consecutively and hence he is now free from the disease.<br />'' <br />'' He said, his discharge from RIMS hospital will be done as per guidelines given by ICMR and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. A meeting of doctors including Core team of RIMS will be held tomorrow to decide his discharge.<br />'' <br />'' Medical Superintendent expressed thankfulness to COVID Warriors of RIMS hospital including doctors, nurses, lab technicians etc. for taking care of the patient round the clock and making him free from the virus.</span><br />''
