Manipur Chief Minister Mr. Okram Ibobi Singh, who is also holding the Finance portfolio, has presented today state Budget for the financial year 2012-13 to state assembly.Presenting the budget, Mr. Ibobi Singh said, priority areas of the state government during the financial year will be Power, Drinking Water and Road Connectivity. He further said, financial austerity measures are required to enforce during the current financial year to contain overdraft in both plan and non-plan expenditure as Planning Commission did not considered the negative opening balance of six hundred crore rupees of the state at the beginning of the financial year.He also said that, state government has introduced third party monitoring system to the implementation of development projects of Integrated Child Development Scheme, Mid-Day Meal, National Social Assistance Programme and Public Distribution System etc.
