In Manipur, the security forces have been continuing mass search operations in the sensitive areas as a measure to restore normalcy in the State. A combined force of Manipur Police and Assam Rifles recovered arms and ammunition during the search operation conducted last evening in Kangpokpi district.<br />'' <br />'' A press release from PRO Assam Rifles said that the combined forces of New Keithelmanbi Police Station and 19th Assam Rifles conducted the operation in the hill ranges near Kotland Village under Kangpokpi district. During the search operation, a SLR Rifles along with a magazine, a Muzzle Loaded Rifles, a Carbine along with a magazine, and a Radio Set were recovered.<br />'' <br />'' The Imphal West district Police conducted a search operation in different places of Imphal West district today and recovered three Gypsy and one Bolero vehicles. These vehicles were looted from Police by armed miscreants after overpowering the security forces.<br />'' <br />''Meanwhile, a team of State forces on the way to Moreh town was not able to reach the border town after some armed miscreants interrupted the team. The Police report said that the incident happened in Sinam Village along the Imphal-Moreh Road.
