More than 175 candidates are has filed their nominations till the filing of this report. Only two candidates filed nomination papers from Heingang assembly constituency including Chief Minister N. Biren who filed his nomination paper on BJP ticket. Fifty-six candidates filed nomination papers in Imphal West district which have thirteen assembly segment. Meanwhile, the election campaigning has gained momentum in Manipur for both phases of elections. A team of the Election Commission of India led by the Chief Election Commissioner arrived yesterday for two days visit to Manipur. The Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra address a press conference today where he said that the ECI committed to conduct free, fair, peaceful, accessible, inclusive, and inducement-free elections in Manipur. He also said that the Commission will not tolerate any mistakes from officers with malafide intentions and ECI has zero-tolerance with officers who behave in a biased manner.&nbsp;</span>
