Manipur State Police Department has ramped up its security measures in connection to the forthcoming Republic Day Celebrations.<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Speaking exclusively to AIR News in Imphal, Manipur Director General of Police P. Doungel said that the Cordon and Search Operations have been conducted at various places of state in connection to Republic Day Celebrations as well as Assembly Elections. The DGP said, suspected places including river banks, roadsides are being checked carefully and cross examination of outsiders are being done to avoid any unwanted situation.</span><br />
