Manipur observes Patriots’ Day today to pay regards to the Anglo-Manipur War heroes of 1891. State Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, ministers, MLAs, top officials of civil and police administration paid floral tribute this morning at Hicham Yaichampat in Imphal where Bir Tikendrajit was cremated. Later, they also offered floral tributes at the Thangal General Memorial site at Palace Compound in Imphal. Functions are also being organised at the District level and educational institutions in the state.
