In Manipur, Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP-MTF) Chief Chirom Tiken alias Sunil Meitei has been killed in an encounter with the Imphal West District Police Commandos in the early hours this morning. Police sources said, the militant leader was killed at Yumnam Huidrom under Wangoi Police Station in Imphal West District. The Police also recovered one 9mm Pistol with two live rounds of bullets from the encounter spot.The Manipur Police had announced a cash reward of one lakh rupees for information leading to the arrest of the KCP-MTF Chief dead or alive. Our correspondent reports, nine police personnel including the Officer-in-Charge of the Porompat Police Station in Imphal were suspended in connection with the escape of Sunil Meitei from the police station on the night of the third of this month
