The General Elections to Manipur Legislative Assembly is going to be held in two phases on 27 February and March 3 this year. AIR Correspondent JJ Thokchom reports that Female electors outnumber the male electorate by 64 thousand 520 as per the final electoral rolls published on 5th of this month.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">In the last General Elections held in 2017, ten females were in fray for the poll in which two were succeeded. This time, the number of female contenders is expected to increase which shows womenfolk embracing the electoral system of the country. Many are working hard behind the success of their male counterparts. In most of the election rallies, womenfolk participated more than male which indicates that womenfolk are more keen in the forthcoming election. </span><br />
