Biren Singh has taken the hardship faced by labourers in the state due to COVID-19 pandemic and instructed officials concerned to provide related assistance to labourers in time.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Under the initiative of Chief Minister, State Labour and Employment Minister Dr. Thokchom Radheshyam today chaired a review meeting with the officials of the concerned department to access the preparedness and necessary arrangements undertaken to provide relief and assistance to the labourers in the state.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">During the meeting, Mr Thokchom directed the officials to develop plans to enable COVID-19 related assistance to the labourers as prescribed in the Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India Movement) to be used to provide relief to workers. <br />''<br />''He said that so far financial assistance of 1,000 rupees each has been disbursed to 41,114 Building and Other Construction workers from the CESS fund available with the Building and Construction Workers Welfare Board.
