In Manipur, journalists of the state under the banner of the All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) submitted a memorandum today to Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh after a protest rally in Imphal against the dictate of a militant outfit in the freedom of the press. The apex body of journalists in Manipur, is demanding security protection for media persons and media offices and also to create an environment where media persons could function without any disturbance and interference.
