In order to restrict the spread of Novel Corona Virus, Manipur Government has decided to close all surface entry points to the state from 5.00 A.M. on 23rd of March, except for goods carrying vehicles including LPG bullet tankers and petroleum tankers.<br />'' <br />'' An order issued today by State Home Department said, entry gates at Jiribam, Mao, Jessami, Tipaimukh and Sinzawl on inter-state border for all passenger vehicles, both public and private will be closed with effect from 5.00 A.M. on 23rd of March until further notice. However, goods carrying vehicles will be allowed to enter the gates and driver and handyman will be screened thoroughly by the authority concerned. <br />'' <br />'' Earlier, State Government had sealed the Indo-Myanmar border along Manipur Sector as part of precautionary measure to contain COVID-19. <br />'' <br />'' On the other hand, Manipur Government has also decided to stop all the ongoing recruitment process with immediate effect in view of the threat of Novel Coronavirus. An order issued by Chief Secretary said that ongoing DPCs/fresh DPCs including written test examination and viva-voce will be postponed till further notice. <br />'' <br />'' The State Health Department has also announced that the authority will put a stamp indicating 'HOME QUARANTINED TILL DATE'  with indelible ink on the left hand of a person advised home quarantine in order to eliminate risk of community transmission of the Novel Coronavirus. Appropriate action will be taken against any person violating home quarantine advice.<br />''
