<span style="color: #222222;">In Manipur, the State government has strictly advised all health care workers, especially doctors who are registered medical practitioners to prescribe generic drugs based on the National/State Lists of Essential Medicines.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The State Principal Secretary (Health) issued an Order this evening informing all the medical practitioners to prescribe the generic drugs which are being sold at lesser prices but are as effective and equivalent in efficacy as expensive branded drugs.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The revamp Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) was launched by Government of India in 2017 and Jan Aushadhi initiative is to make available quality drugs at affordable price through dedicated stores selling generic medicines.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Meanwhile, Chief Minister N. Biren Singh re-launched Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) for Senapati District Hospital today. The Chief Minister also inaugurated eight different projects apart from laying foundation stones for five others in Senapati. He also convened a Cabinet meeting there as part of his 'Go to Hills' campaign.</span><br />
