<span style="color: #222222;">Manipur government brings back 88 stranded Manipuris who has been taking shelters at Guwahati for many days due to nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19 pandemic.<br />'' <br />'' This is the first batch of evacuation being conducted by Manipur government under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Biren Singh.<br />'' <br />'' Manipur government flagged off four buses from Imphal on 29th April for Guwahati to pick up stranded Manipuris as the first batch of evacuation plan.<br />'' <br />'' Government also provided hand sanitizers and mask for the passengers.<br />'' <br />'' These bus carrying 88 stranded Manipuris reached border entry of Manipur-Mao Gate in Saturday morning.<br />'' <br />'' Screening of these passengers has been done by the officials of State Health Department for further journey upto Imphal. They will be put on quarantine after reaching Imphal.<br />'' <br />'' Talking to AIR News, team leader of the passengers Th. Santi said, each row of seat in the bus is allotted to only one passenger to follow the social distancing. Among the passengers, two are patients.<br />'' <br />'' There are more than 6,000 Manipuris stranded in Assam.  <br />'' <br />'' Manipur government help stranded people of Manipur through officials of Manipur Bhawan located at Guwahati during their stay. The initiative taken by State government is appreciated, he said.<br />'' <br />'' It may be mentioned that State government has started collecting data from those Manipuris who are stranded outside the State due to nationwide lockdown.<br />'' <br />'' MLA and officials of District Administrations has identified Community Quarantine Centres across the State to accommodate people who return to Manipur from other States.<br />'' <br />'' </span><br />
