Manipur Government announces monetary aid in resettling families affected by recent violence

Manipur government has said that it will help in the resettlement of the families affected by recent mob violence. The State government has already announced an ex-gratia of 5 lakh rupees each to the kin of those who died in the mob violence and 2 lakh rupees each for those who suffered grievous injuries. The government will provide 2 lakh rupees each for those families which were affected by the violence, and will also build new houses for them.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, security forces have been continuing flag marches in the affected districts. Normalcy is restoring slowly in the State. Rescue and evacuation of stranded people and transportation to safer places or homes have been going on smoothly.<br />''<br />''The State Education Department has announced that the summer vacations for all schools in the State will continue till May end. Public curfew has been relaxed from 05:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. today in Imphal East and West districts. Other districts have also slowly extended curfew relaxation hours, with the improvement in law and order situation. <br />
