Manipur girls and Mizoram boys lifted Assam Rifles CAPF U-19 Football Talent Hunt Tournament. Manipur girls defeated host Meghalaya 1-0 while Mizoram boys defeated Manipur 2-1 in Shillong today. The winning teams will take part in phase three of the nationwide Oorja tournament being organised in New Delhi next month. Governor of Mizoram, Lt Gen (retd) Nirbhay Sharma commended Assam Rifles for the successful hosting of the tournament. Director General of Assam Rifles, Lt Gen Shokin Chauhan was also present.
