Manipur Crisis: Security forces retrieves huge cache weapons from protesters

In Manipur, the security forces have retrieved huge cache weapons from the protesters. Speaking to media persons at Imphal this evening, the Security Advisor to Manipur Government Kuldeep Singh said that the police have filed 339 cases on different incidents including theft cases. Around forty-five thousand stranded people have been evacuated to safer places. He said that the security forces have launched search operation at the designated camps of Suspension of Operation (SoO) Kuki militants, The Security Advisor further said that some miscreants blocked the trucks and security personnel along the Imphal-Dimapur highways in Kangpokpi area yesterday.<br />'' <br />''Therefore, trucks carrying essential items are not able to reach Imphal now. The government is also planning to bring in essential commodities through Imphal-Jiribam highways.<br />'' <br />''However, normalcy has been returning slowly in the State and the Security personnel have been conducting flag marches and search operations. The curfew will be relaxed from five AM to twelve midday tomorrow in Imphal West, Imphal East, Kakching, Bishnupur, and Thoubal districts and Jiribam district will have relaxation from five AM to one PM. The death toll following mob violence mounted to 71.   <br />
