<span style="color: #222222;">Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh said that it is now time to discard the sense of disintegration and work together for a united Manipur and India. While speaking at the State level Mera Houchongba festival today held at Imphal, the Chief Minister said that Manipur is an inseparable part of the Union of India. We are all citizens of India and we shall follow the constitutions of the Nation.<br />'' <br />'' Shri Biren said that unity between hill and valley people had strengthened in the past four and half years with the coming of the new Government in Manipur. It was testified on many occasions when people of hill districts gave helping hands to valley people when the lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic was imposed last year. It showed hill people's affection for their brothers in the valley.<br />'' <br />''Mera Houchongba is a festival that exemplifies oneness and brotherhood among people of different ethnic communities of Manipur and is celebrated with pomp, gaiety and traditional fervor. The conduct of important age-old rituals and the presentation of colorful cultural items of different communities were the main highlights of the celebration. During the celebration leaders of both valley and hill districts exchanged gifts.</span>
