Biren Singh has sanctioned funds to Manipur Police Department and State Transport Department from the State Disaster Response Fund to procure hand sanitizers and other Personal Protective items for use by those working in the frontline in tackling COVID-19.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chief Minister handed over Rs. 35 lakh to Manipur Police Department and Rs. 10 lakh to the State Transport Department today in a simple ceremony held at CM Secretariat Imphal. He also handed over 10,000 each of hand sanitizers and face masks to Manipur Police and 1000 each hand sanitizers and face mask to Transport Department.</span><br />'' <br />''<br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The hand sanitizers and face masks were arranged by the General Administration Department (GAD), Government of Manipur from the funds of Corporate Social Responsibility sponsored by the Airports Authority of India (AAI). Half the numbers of these masks are made by local private enterprises while another half is surgical masks.</span><br />
