Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has released the Golden Jubilee Souvenir of All India Radio, Imphal this afternoon at Imphal. One rare recorded compact disc of the ritual songs of Chakpa was also released by the Chief Minister. <br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ibobi Singh said that All India Radio is playing a pivotal role in bringing about national integration and communal harmony in the country. <br/><br/>He also appealed for more proactive role on the part of All India Radio in the dissemination of information related to the welfare schemes taken up by the Government and its implementation so that the common people can take maximum benefit from these schemes.<br/><br/>Mr. Ibobi Singh further said that feedback and constructive criticism from all sections of the society through the public broadcaster is highly solicited by the Government.<br/>Noted filmmaker Aribam Shyam Sharma and Station Director of All India Radio, Imphal Moirangthem Kanankumar Singh were also present on the occasion.
