Manipur CM N Biren Singh says, there are no cases of serious health complications with people recovering from COVID-19

On the eighth day of the ongoing Budget session of Manipur Legislative Assembly today, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh said that there are no cases of serious health complications with respect to those who have recovered from COVID-19.<br />'' <br />''Replying to a query raised by an Opposition MLA during Question Hour, Shri Biren said that the State government has constituted an Expert Committee for inspection, supervision and guidance of government and other hospitals on COVID-19 pandemic. <br />''<br />''<br />''Moreover, Post COVID Complication Management Committees have been constituted at the two largest hospitals of the State- RIMS and JNIMS and dedicated Post COVID Wards will also be opened if required. The Chief Minister also assured the House that the government is fully committed to providing super-speciality services wherever necessary.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Biren Singh said that the government is committed to ensure better health care facilities in the State. Proposals for opening of three new Medical Colleges at Churachandpur District Hospital, Thoubal District Hospital and Chandel District Hospital have been submitted already to the Central Government of which approval for up-gradation of Churachandpur District Hospital to Medical College has been granted. He said this is the second state owned Medical College after JNIMS. </span><br />
