<span style="color: #222222;">Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh inaugurated a newly set up COVID Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Accident Trauma Centre and a COVID Care Centre as part of the arrangement to combat the Coronavirus pandemic.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The COVID Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Accident Trauma Centre is set up at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal. It has a capacity of 100 beds equipped with advanced medical facilities. It will be very useful for treatment of COVID positive patients who need intensive care.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">On the other hand, the newly inaugurated COVID Care Centre has 60 beds and is set up at the Multipurpose Hall of Standard College in Imphal East district. The COVID Care Centre is equipped with Oxygen Concentrators and Oxygen Cylinders and 12 doctors, 14 nurses and nine Multi-Tasking Staff have been stationed to take care of the patients round the clock.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">While inaugurating these health infrastructure, the Chief Minister said that the rate of vaccination in the state is high with nearly six lakh people vaccinated till now and many people had also continued to turn up to get vaccinated. He appealed to the public not to believe in any misleading and false rumors regarding the vaccine and its effect. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, the state had now adequate facilities for accommodating COVID-19 patients with five to six dedicated COVID hospitals, more than 2,000 beds at different COVID Care Centres and other facilities set up at every Assembly Constituencies. He informed that the government had assigned different teams consisting of three officers each to four major COVID hospitals in the state to strengthen coordination between the hospitals authorities, patients and the government. </span><br />''  <br />
