Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh handed over subsidy grant of 1.50 lakh rupees each to 146 beneficiaries as first installment under Idea Stage of StartUp Manipur Phase-II at Imphal today.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''The subsidy grants were provided to the beneficiaries to help in promoting the state's economy to certain extent. Under the startup scheme, different companies have so far provided direct employment to more than a thousand people in the State. It is said that the customer outreach which was earlier 70,000 has now reached 1.96 lakh. So far the revenue is concerned, it has enhanced to 24.60 crore rupees from the previous record of 7.41 crore rupees<br />''&nbsp;<br />''Speaking at the function, the Chief Minister said that Manipur Startup scheme has benefited many educated unemployed people in the state. Benefits are being provided to selected individuals who have the vision for establishing their own business but are not financially sound. The selected people were provided training and only those who have successfully completed their training were given subsidy grants by the Government.<br />''&nbsp;<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Mr Biren also informed the gathering that numbers of startup schemes in the State which began their activities with meager amounts were now able to generate more revenue after getting loan and grant from the government. The function was attended by State Cabinet Ministers and top civil officials.&nbsp;</span><br />
