Manipur CM appeals to shun violence in the state

Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has appealed to the violent groups in the state to fight elections under the Constitution of India, to have a reality check whether their cause is supported by the public or not. Addressing Congress workers at New Canaan in Ukhrul in the District Level Special Training Programme of Congress Workers about the Flagship Schemes and other welfare schemes of the UPA Government at the Centre and the SPF Government in the state, the Chief Minister said that violence has no place in democracy. He further said that intimidation through violent activities can never bring lasting solution to any problem.
