Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh has announced a compensation of five lakh rupees each as ex-gratia for the two persons killed in the police firing at Ukhrul on Saturday.

He also announced that state government will bear all expenditure incurred in the treatment of those injured in the firing incident.

Speaking to media persons at Imphal today, the Chief Minister said, state government has ordered an enquiry to find out the cause of the incident .
