Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh has warned individuals or groups against brandishing illegal firearms and roaming on the streets. He said that no one, other than State machinery, can take the law into their hands and if any individual or group are found with illegal firearms,  stringent action will be taken against them as per the law.<br />''<br />''Addressing a public gathering on Development held in Thoubal district today, the Chief Minister said that the Government will not remain silent spectators against individuals or groups roaming in the streets with illegal firearms. Shri Biren said that there is no need for violence as there are constitutional provisions for every issue. The Chief Minister also laid foundation stones for some development projects and inaugurated newly constructed offices, and hostels, He also distributed benefits of various schemes during the function.</span><br />
