Manipur has entered into the finals of the 65th Senior National Santosh Trophy football Championship. In the first semifinal played on Thursday evening, Manipur beat Services by one goal to Nil in extra time. Thoiba Singh scored the lone goal of the match.Former champion Manipur defeated Services in an excited match being played at Guwhati Nehru Stadium. The match has been extended to Extra time after both the teams failed to score goals in the first 90 minutes. Manipur missed at least 3 opportunities to score goals in the first half.In the second half Services, created opportunities but failed to convert into goals. The Manipur Striker hold his nerve to convert the penalty into goal and take his team into the final to be held on Monday In the second semi-final match, defending champion West-Bengal will play against the Railways on Friday evening at the same venue. The final match will be held on Monday.
