The Chief Election Commissioner of India Sushil Chandra said that ECI is committed to conduct free, fair, peaceful, accessible, inclusive, and inducement-free elections in Manipur. He said that the Commission will not tolerate any mistakes from officers with malafide intentions and ECI has zero-tolerance with officers who behave in a biased manner.<br />'' <br />'' Speaking to media persons today in Imphal, the CEC said that the elections are literally the festival of Democracy and urged the representatives of political parties and citizens to extend their cooperation in ensuring free and fair elections and optimizing the voter turnout to an even higher percentage.<br />'' <br />'' He said that the Commission has extended the Postal Ballot facility to senior citizens, PwD voters, COVID affected or suspects and persons of notified Essential services, and the sanctity of the ballot would be maintained by the election officials.<br />'' <br />'' Mr Chandra said that the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer Manipur has conducted Mission 300 in lower voter turnout pockets and targeted SVEEP activities have been intensified in these pockets. In the upcoming elections in Manipur, 487 all women polling stations would be established and compliance with Covid safe protocols would be ensured.<br />'' <br />'' The Chief Election Commissioner also directed the law enforcement agencies to step up their vigil to ensure that inter-state and international border movement of liquor, drugs, freebies and cash is effectively checked and electoral process is not vitiated.<br />'' <br />'' A team of ECI led by the Chief Election Commissioner arrived yesterday in Imphal on a two days visit to Manipur. He was accompanied by two Election Commissioners and senior officials of ECI. The Chief Election Commissioner convened a meeting with the representatives of political parties and also held a review meeting with state election officials.&nbsp;
