<span style="color: #222222;">In the poll-bound Manipur, the process of Assembly Elections is going to begin with the issuance of notification for the First Phase on 1st of February. The state will go to polls in two phases on 27th of February and 3rd of March. The counting of votes will be taken up together on 10th of March. During the First Phase, 38 Assembly Constituencies will go to polls on 27th of February while the Second Phase of polling will be conducted on 3rd of March in 22 Assembly Constituencies.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">There are total 20,56,901 electors in Manipur including 20,34,966 general and 21,935 service voters along with 14,651 PwD voters. The total number also includes 9,85,119 male, 10,49,639 female and 208 third gender voters. The total strength of the house is 60 out of which one seat is reserved for the Scheduled Castes and 19 seats reserved for the Scheduled Tribes. Presently, there are seven vacancies in the house.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In the two-phase elections held in 2017, Indian National Congress emerged as a single largest party capturing 28 seats while Bharatiya Janata Party could manage to get 21 seats. Naga Peoples' Front and National Peoples' Party bagged four seats each while All India Trinamool Congress, Lok Jan Shakti Party and an independent candidate shared one seat each.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In the 2012 Assembly Elections, Indian National Congress bagged 42 seats while All India Trinamool Congress won seven and Naga Peoples' Front took four seats. Besides, Manipur State Congress Party won five while Nationalist Congress Party and Lok Jan Shakti Party got one seat each.</span>
