Chlorine dioxide is aqueous solution and used in disinfection of drinking water. The virus destroying capacity in the spray form or slowing emitting gas form is not yet established.<br />''<br />''The State Health Department said it does not recommend the use of such unproven devices in prevention of COVID-19 pandemic.<br />''<br />''In Manipur, the device is being sold at almost all the medicine shops in the State at escalated rates due to huge demand.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, in the past twenty four hours, 118 people including 28 personnel from the Central Armed Police Force have tested positive for COVID-19 while 117 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery in the state.<br />''<br />''The total number of affected people in Manipur has reached 3753 so far. Out of them, 2044 people have recovered while 1698 people are under treatment.&nbsp; The recovery rate is 54.46 percent.</span><br />
