Chlorine dioxide is aqueous solution and used in disinfection of drinking water. The virus destroying capacity in the spray form or slowing emitting gas form is not yet established.<br />''<br />''The State Health Department said it does not recommend the use of such unproven devices in prevention of COVID-19 pandemic.<br />''<br />''In Manipur, the device is being sold at almost all the medicine shops in the State at escalated rates due to huge demand.<br />''<br />''Meanwhile, in the past twenty four hours, 118 people including 28 personnel from the Central Armed Police Force have tested positive for COVID-19 while 117 people were discharged from hospitals after recovery in the state.<br />''<br />''The total number of affected people in Manipur has reached 3753 so far. Out of them, 2044 people have recovered while 1698 people are under treatment.  The recovery rate is 54.46 percent.</span><br />
