In Haryana, two-day 19th Mango Mela is being organised at Pinjore Gardens near Panchkula tomorrow and day after to encourage the farmers to adopt the latest technology in order to increase their production, productivity and quality of product so that they may get maximum return of their produce from their limited holdings by tapping the domestic as well as international markets.<br/> <br/>Mango Mela would be inaugurated by Mrs Urvashi Gulati, Chief Secretary, Haryana at 5.00 p.m. on July 3 and Mr Jagannath Pahadia, Governor, Haryana would be Chief Guest in the Prize Distribution-cum-Closing Ceremony on July 4.<br/><br/>Haryana Tourism Minister, Mr Om Parkash Jain while addressing a press conference at Haryana Niwas today said that the Mango Mela provide a forum to the mango growers for better marketing of their produce. It also provide a common platform to the artisans and Self Help Groups to display and sell their handmade handlooms and handicrafts products. <br/><br/>The Mela also provide an excellent opportunity to the public to see and taste good quality of mangoes and to be part of the various activities and events to be organized during the Mela.<br/><br/>Mango Mela is organised by Haryana Tourism, jointly with the Horticulture Department Haryana at Pinjore Gardens every year. Earlier, the Tourism Minister released a poster on 19th Mango Mela.
