Mangalore AI crash victims to get Rs 75 lakh: Kerala HC

A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court today allowed an appeal by Air India challenging the single bench order in Mangalore aircrash case. The single bench ordered Air India to pay a compensation of a minimum of 75 lakh rupees to those killed in the Mangalore aircrash. A division bench comprising Justice C.N. Ramachandran Nair and Justice P.S. Gopinathan directed the parties to settle the matter through negotiations or approach the civil court. The Division Bench rejected an appeal by the family of one of the victims who sought enhancement of the compensation allowed by the single bench.
